Position Overview

Sentry Force Security is seeking professional, dependable, and customer-service-oriented Security Officers to provide security services at a State Registration Office. Officers will help maintain a safe, secure, and orderly environment for employees, visitors, and members of the public.

This position requires strong communication skills, professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to remain alert while working in a public-facing government office environment.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor the facility and maintain a safe, secure environment.
Control access to designated areas and monitor visitor activity.
Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security concerns.
Conduct security patrols and perform assigned security checks.
Assist visitors with directions and provide professional customer service.
Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and disturbances.
Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
Follow all post orders, company policies, and site-specific procedures.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

Qualifications

Must possess a valid Virginia DCJS Security Officer registration or meet applicable licensing requirements for the position.
Must be able to pass the required background screening.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the assigned shift.
Previous security or customer service experience preferred.

Work Environment

This position is located in a public-facing state registration office. Officers must be comfortable interacting with the public while maintaining professionalism, enforcing site procedures, and protecting the facility.
