entry Force Security is seeking qualified, Virginia DCJS-licensed Armed Security Officers to support multiple security operations throughout the Hampton Roads region.

We are looking for highly professional, dependable, and mission-focused security personnel who can maintain a strong security posture, exercise sound judgment, and effectively perform assigned duties in a variety of operational environments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain a professional security presence and serve as a visible deterrent to unauthorized activity
  • Perform access control, security patrols, and routine post inspections
  • Monitor and control ingress and egress in accordance with established post orders
  • Conduct personnel, visitor, and vehicle screening when required
  • Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, access-control systems, and other security technology as assigned
  • Maintain continuous situational awareness and identify potential security threats or vulnerabilities
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents, alarms, disturbances, and emergencies
  • Initiate appropriate emergency procedures and notify supervisory personnel and emergency services when required
  • Conduct preliminary incident assessment and maintain scene awareness until relieved or otherwise directed
  • Prepare accurate, timely, and detailed Daily Activity Reports (DARs), incident reports, and other required documentation
  • Enforce assigned post orders, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and client-specific security protocols
  • Maintain professional communication with clients, employees, visitors, law enforcement, emergency personnel, and the general public
  • Support emergency response, evacuation, and life-safety procedures as directed
  • Safeguard client property, personnel, assets, and sensitive information
  • Maintain issued equipment, uniforms, and security credentials in accordance with company standards
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding security operations and client information

Required Qualifications

  • Current Virginia DCJS Armed Security Officer License — REQUIRED
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior security, military, law enforcement, corrections, or public-safety experience preferred
  • Must successfully complete all required background investigations and pre-employment screening
  • Must successfully complete required drug screening
  • Reliable transportation to assigned duty locations
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong observation, analytical, and situational-awareness skills
  • Ability to accurately document incidents and security activities
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and effective decision-making under pressure
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directives, post orders, and SOPs
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining accountability to supervisory personnel
  • Must maintain all required DCJS credentials and training

Physical & Operational Requirements

  • Ability to remain standing and/or walking for extended periods
  • Ability to conduct routine foot patrols and security inspections
  • Ability to navigate stairs and various facility environments
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to remain alert and attentive for the duration of assigned shifts
  • Ability to respond quickly to incidents and emergencies within the scope of assigned duties
  • Ability to wear the required uniform and assigned duty equipment throughout the shift

Scheduling & Availability

Security operations require continuous coverage. Candidates must be willing to work schedules that may include:

  • Days
  • Evenings
  • Overnight shifts
  • Weekends
  • Holidays
  • Overtime when operationally necessary

Preferred Experience

Preference may be given to candidates with experience in:

  • Armed security operations
  • Government or public-sector security
  • Transportation security
  • Residential security
  • Access control operations
  • CCTV and electronic security systems
  • Incident response
  • Emergency management procedures
  • Security reporting and documentation
  • Military, law enforcement, corrections, or other public-safety environments
