Position Summary
Sentry Force Security is seeking a professional and dependable Unarmed Security Officer to provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. The Security Officer will monitor the facility, assist with maintaining order, and respond appropriately to safety concerns while interacting respectfully with patients, visitors, and staff.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Monitor the facility, entrances, exits, and surrounding areas.
Maintain a visible security presence throughout the property.
Observe and report unusual, suspicious, or disruptive activity.
Assist staff with maintaining a safe and orderly environment.
Respond appropriately to disturbances, emergencies, and safety concerns.
Monitor patient and visitor activity in accordance with facility procedures.
Verify authorized individuals entering restricted areas.
Conduct routine patrols of designated areas.
Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.
Contact emergency services when necessary and follow established emergency procedures.
De-escalate tense situations using professional communication and sound judgment.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with patients and sensitive situations.
Work closely with facility staff and management to address security concerns.
Follow all company and facility policies, procedures, and post orders.

Qualifications

Previous security, healthcare, customer service, or public-facing experience preferred.
Must be able to communicate professionally with a diverse population.
Strong observation and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Must meet all applicable Virginia security licensing requirements.
Ability to stand, walk, and remain attentive for extended periods.
